An Abundance of Scarves

Posted in: my work | 1 Comment »

Is there such a thing as too many scarves? I certainly don’t think so. I use mine as a replacement for those nasty airplane blankets. These scarves were made by a woman named Natalia, part of our micro-business program. She’s being taught how to start and run her own business, including designing clothing, producing, advertising and teaching. She’s also a recipient of a micro-loan that was successfully repaid within the loan terms.

Mini

Posted in: my daily life | 1 Comment »

I’m not a car person. I understand that some are more fashionable than others, and I have preferences as to what I would like to drive. But I’m not obsessed with them. Unless they are mini, and in Central America there are mini cars and trucks and vans everywhere. My favorite is this little van. I squeal when I see it. I pretend I have the money to buy it when I see it at a dealership. I ponder starting a micro-business that involves using this mini wonder. Someone hold me back!
